Environment and Vineyard
Nature with ingenuity
Wine begins in the vineyard.
Nature, one of the Loire’s greatest treasures, already does much of the work. That’s why the Château and its surroundings are so deeply intertwined.

A deep connection with nature
Working with nature, adapting to its changes.
A constant quest to interpret each plot, each vine, and unlock its full potential.
Practices are constantly evolving, and so is our thinking.
A holistic vision
Our mission is to minimize our impact on the ecosystem. We respect biodiversity and use local resources wisely.
Beyond ourselves
The estate is recognized by the LPO (Bird Protection League) for its support of local birdlife and hosts beehives that contribute to honey production.
Life in the vineyard shapes Minière today. The entire team shares a deep commitment to preserving our environment. This philosophy shines through every day, from vine to estate.

Engineering the vineyard
Minière approaches viticulture with precision and curiosity. Constantly seeking new angles, reassessing assumptions, and taking things step by step. Curiosity drives excellence.

Adaptability is key
38 hectares of land including 18 hectares of vines with 14 hectares of Cabernet Franc as the identity grape variety, 4 hectares of Chenin Blanc and 20 hectares of bare land.
This historic Loire vineyard features a rich mix of young and old vines, including century-old parcels the Château holds dear. The diversity of soils, vine ages, and microclimates create a complex and exciting patchwork.
Terroir perspectives
In this corner of the Loire Valley, vines flourish on two main clay-limestone terroirs. One is based on tuffeau, the iconic local stone seen on the hillsides of the appellation.
The other, closer to the river, is lighter and sandier. This landscape forms a mosaic of parcels, each treated as a unique perspective at Château de Minière.
